This short story is the outcome of my interaction with one of my friend, who described the filmy encounter of his life. Having been impressed with the course of his life and the turn it has taken, I felt like penning it down to share with my honorable readers. The names are changed in the story and details summarised, retaining the essence.
I am sure you will like it, do post your comments.

“Is she a narcissist” exclaimed Tarun, after failing in his attempts to woo Naina.

I still remember the way how people wondered about her saying “why on the earth is Naina given undue importance” in all direction. Akash said, “It could be because she is beautiful?

“If that is so, listen there are many senior and junior staff members who are no less” said in an acerbic tone Tania his colleague. Well all this were regular instances in talks related and concerning Naina.

Once it happened that Naina saw her boss coming to wards their block as she was standing near the window of her cabin in her cabin, she slightly bent her brow. This was her usual mannerism just to check and avoid the contacts to grow.

Observing and recording her behaviour, mannerism and responses, with people who come in contact, I became curious to know about her. Finding all alone Naina, working on the computer, my curiosity took the better of me.

I knocked the door of Naina’s cabin.

I waited there for more than ten minutes, as I was determined to make her speak to me.

After waiting for a few more minutes, I ignored the gentleman in me, I opened the door.

I found her in a subconscious state. Immediately I arranged for a vehicle took her to the dispensary.

There it was found, Naina was having severe Cervical Spondylitis, which as understood by doctors, she ignored for long and as a result of that she fainted. When Naina was feeling better I approached her. After two hours of desperate attempts to make her speak, I was successful.

Heaven fell on the earth when I learnt from her that she orphaned at a young age and she is taking care of her younger brother and sister who were five and seven years younger to her respectively. But when I asked her why she does not speak to others where she is mistaken.

Naina became my dream girl and ladylove when she said “I love to be mistaken than mislead”.

I thanked God profusely!
